Our Moto or slogan is “catch your dream” born from a desire to find better ways, bigger fish and new adventures.  We believe this is for the whole family and bringing the next generation through is important to us.

Our founders have been avid watermen fishing, diving and surfing their whole lives.  Before every trip, there are sleepless nights and the wonder of what tomorrows will bring.  It’s the thrill of the chase and the endless possibilities that each day on the water promises, this is what keeps us coming back time and time again.

After a 10 day trip to the tropical paradise of Vanuatu fishing 6 nights aboard the mighty Drop Cast, and further time in our waters diving and jigging we were able to see first-hand what works best in attracting, hooking and catching truly big fish.  It was most important to have a great darting movement, bright UV colours but by adding sound we truly were onto something great. 

After talking to charter skippers and fishers from as far away as the Bay of Plenty, several common problems came to light.  One – assist rigs were to light with many lasting only a few fish before needing to be replaced, or assist hooks being so weak fish they would bend or snap when the heat came on.   In short we had to fix this, our answer?  We run a 300kg PE double assist cord and use a monster bkk inspired jigging hook.  

We have used our lessons from Vanuatu and skirt our hooks to give our jig the appearance that it is chasing a small baitfish, this has been proven to trigger an aggressive bite response resulting in more explosive hook ups and will often turn non feeding fish into a frenzy.  We were also pleasantly surprised that in New Zealand waters our by catch increased, Snapper, Kahawai, Gemfish, John Dory and even a Terakihi fell victim to this method and often enabled us to bring home a great variety.
